“Surround yourself with less negativety and more sushi” —  Daily mantra at Fervid.

When we first started writing this article, our goal was to pick the top new restaurants in the city to dine at for 2018.  When we came up with the list, we looked back, smirked at one another and said well will you look at that, all sushi restaurants (not complaining).  And after you see our list, you’ll know why we picked these spots. Sushi date anyone?

Pick 6ix

Sports Bar meets Sushi (and of course is his restaurant). We like the idea of that! Pick 6ix will be a high-end restaurant that’s also a sports bar. The only difference is they won’t be serving chicken wings and pizza – instead sushi! But not JUST sushi, the chef plans to create items like ceviche sashimi.

The restaurant is set to open (hopefully – fingers crossed) by May.

The announcement was made last year and although it might not open for a couple of years. Nobu is still on our list. Whether you wait to try it here or venture off to their other famous locations. Nobu is a must try!

Must Try: Black Cod with Miso

August 8

New to the city and ALL YOU CAN EAT! Our sushi prayers have been answered. August 8 first opened it’s doors in Hamilton, Ontario and now is open on Spadina. Our PR Manager, Amrita, promises that you won’t be disappointed (she’s a regular).

Must Try: House Deep Fried Roll – crab meat salad, avocado, spicy fish & corn

Chotto Matte

Where do we start? Chotto-Matte is a mix of contemporary urban environment, spectacle, great cuisine. It embraces the very best of Nikkei (Japanese – Peruvian) dishes, with bold eye-catching natural colours and mouth-watering taste sensations.

Must Try: Sato Maki- sea bass, salmon, romano pepper, lime soy
